In 2003, Susan was named Small Business Owner of the Year by the San Francisco Small Business Network for her work in the insurance field advocating for small businesses and women owned businesses.
In 2007, Susan was named Member of the Year by the San Francisco Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She was also chosen to chair NAWBO's National Health Care Policy Task Force.
